TASTING TIPS
Preparation
Whole sesame seeds can be incorporated into your breads, cakes or sprinkled on your gratins, pies or salads. They are used to make “Gomasio”, a traditional Japanese and macrobiotic condiment.
Utilisation
To make your “homemade” gomasio: in a mortar mix 10 to 14 volumes of toasted sesame with 1 volume of salt, then pound using a Suribachi mortar, until a powder is obtained. Then store the preparation in a glass jar.
